If you cast your mind back to November you might have noticed that in my post about Things I Plan To Make I mentioned that I was doing some knitting classes with Susie at The Wool Sanctuary in Weston-Super-Mare.
Well on Sat 28th November me and my knitting comrade, LB, headed off to learn to knit! The Learn To Knit 1 class covers:
I made a little square place mat/coaster using increasing and decreasing and then I did some homework on my moss stitch and made this pin cushion.

Progressing....

Finished the knitting! Now I just need to sew and stuff.
After loving every second of Learn to Knit 1 we could not wait for Learn to Knit 2! Luckily we only had to wait a week and on Sat 5 December we headed off to Susie’s to learn:
After a bit of confusion (mostly due to the fact that I forgot how to count to five) and some abuse about my colour choices (personally I like fuchsia and burnt orange!) we managed to get the hang of it all
I will take some pics of my samplers once I have ironed them!
But spurred on from Susie I have embarked on making my own Knitted House Door Stop as featured in the title sequence of Kirstie’s Homemade Home. So without fear I started! Then I unraveled it all as it was pants! Then I started again this time thinking about what I was going to do next!

Half a front door

The ground floor completed

Front of house FINISHED!
So now all I need to do is the roof, the back, 2 sides, the bottom and the roof overlay!
If you are really interested in my knitting and the progress of my house check me out on Ravelry.
And if you are thinking “I thought she was making those striped wrist warmers!” I am! I have the wool, I have the instructions! What I don’t have is the skills to tackle the thumb gussets!!! (WOOP WOOP Ooo Err Missus!)
Hopefully between my Mum and Aunties they can sort my gussets out over Christmas!
If you are a fan of Amy Butler fabrics you will love these!!!
This is Heather Bailey’s new collection, Nicey Jane! I think that a big percentage of my Christmas money will be spent on some HB fabrics!!!!
Heather also has a brilliant blog which you can find at http://heatherbailey.typepad.com/.
Stay tuned for some Heather B-esque creations as soon as my parcel of goodies arrives
Recently a few of All That Glitters creations have been featured on Cuteable.com and the Sew Scrumptious blog!
The lovely Lynsey at Cuteable.com picked the Button Up Necklace in Rainbow for their Flickr week pick of the MISI pool!

Button Up Necklace - Rainbow
I’m afraid to say that some lucky person snapped up the Rainbow version at the MISI event on saturday! But fear not you can still get the Button Up necklace in Blue!
Louise from Sew Scrumptious was my ‘neighbour’ at the MISI event and she bought one of my teacup pin cushions for her Mum’s 70th birthday. She is on a mission to get 70 presents for her and the teacup pin cushion made prsent number 41! You can follow her quest here.
After a very big discussion involving many people from around the room Louise went for the Spring Martini rather than the Pink Daisy.
Even thought Louise bagged herself one there are still a few left on MISI including another one in Spring Martini! (Can you tell it’s my favourite!)
